It is very easy to style Check-boxes using HTML and CSS3
Below is the code I have used.
CSHTML
HTML Page
CSS3.myCheckbox input {
position: relative;
z-index: -9999;
}
.myCheckbox span {
width: 20px;
height: 20px;
display: block;
background: url("link_to_image");
}
.myCheckbox input:checked + span {
background: url("link_to_another_image");
}
HTML<label for="test">Label for my styled "checkbox"</label>
<label class="myCheckbox">
<input type="checkbox" name="test"/>
<span></span>
</label>
Razor View
I tried to style the check-box using same code in CS-HTML i.e. razor view, but it doesn't give expected result. So I modified a code little bit and it resulted in exact output I expected.Below is the code I have used.
CSHTML
<label for="test">Label for my styled "checkbox"</label>
<label class="myCheckbox">
<input type="checkbox" name="test"/>
<span></span>
</label>
CSS3
<style type="text/css">
.display-none{
display:none;
}
.SendMeCopy {
width: 25px;
position: relative;
}
.SendMeCopy label {
cursor: pointer;
position: absolute;
width: 19px;
height: 18px;
top: 0;
left: 0;
background: #24AA98;
border-radius: 5px;
}
.SendMeCopy label.checkbox-label:after {
opacity: 1;
content: '';
position: absolute;
width: 9px;
height: 5px;
background: transparent;
top: 5px;
left: 5px;
border: 2px solid #fff;
border-top: none;
border-right: none;
-webkit-transform: rotate(-45deg);
-moz-transform: rotate(-45deg);
-o-transform: rotate(-45deg);
-ms-transform: rotate(-45deg);
transform: rotate(-45deg);
}
.SendMeCopy input[type=checkbox]:checked + label:after {
opacity: 1;
}
</style>
JQuery
<script type="text/javascript">
var first = true;
$("#SendMeCopy").click(function () {
if (first) {
$('#SendMeCopy').attr('checked', true);
$('.SendMeCopy label').toggleClass('checkbox-label');
} else {
$('#SendMeCopy').attr('checked', false);
$('.SendMeCopy label').toggleClass('checkbox-label');
}
first = !first;
});
</script>
Akshay Kumar has worked with Tony i.e. Anthony D'Souza in Blue
(2009) and BOSS (2013). Recently his movie Azhar, starring Emraan Hashmi released
and it was also an average fare just like the previous two. Akshay was the one
who gave break to Tony in Bollywood and to help him further he accepted to work
in his Boss.
Recently, in a press conference of movie 'One Night Stand',
starring Sunny Leone and Tanuj Virwani, the director of movie and wife of Tony,
Jasmine D’Souza after being asked, the actor she would love to direct, within
no time she replied, Akshay Kumar.
She had all praises for Khiladi Kumar. This is what she said
about Akshay paaji:
"If I have to work with, by far Akshay Sir is one
person that I would give my right arm for. Because that man has stood by us,
that man has supported us, which is such a departure from what people in
Bollywood or life in Bollywood is like. He, for no selfish reason or no selfish
gain has stood by us, thick and thin, for the last decade and never fletched. I
treat him like God. You go to a temple, you pray and your wishes are granted. I
go tell him things and my wishes are granted. So to me he is in that position.
If he tells me tomorrow, ‘Jasmine uth ja, mere liye ye film kar, mein tujhe
paise nahi de raha hoon’, I’ll be there."
Hats-off to Jasmine for giving so much gratitude to Akshay
and remembering him for all the good things he has done for her family! And
hats-off to Akshay sir for being 'Bade Dilwala'.
Akshay Kumar's Remake Of 'Kaththi' To Revolve Around Water Scarcity
By Unknown - 8:25 PM
Akshay Kumar, who had teamed up with South director AR Murugadoss for action-thriller Holiday, in which he played an Army officer, might work in the remake of Kaththi, which was also directed Murugadoss.
The original film revolved around farmer suicides as a result of corporate encroachment, but the remake, which will be titled Ikka, will revolve around scarcity of water and how companies making aerated drinks are tapping into free water and using it to expand their soft drink businesses. Akshay will probably have a double role in the film, which will be directed by Jagan, an associate of Murugadoss.
Akshay will be next seen playing a Naval officer in Rustom, which also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta.

The New Year has begun on an upbeat note for Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. The actor, who has been mixing sensible and sensitive cinema with routine entertainers, has received a huge round of applause for the trailer of 'Airlift.' Based on the teaser that came a few weeks ago, a market study showed that the movie's first day collections are reportedly tracking higher than his last few releases. If you are wondering what the reason is, then watch the trailer. It has the right doses of heroism and patriotism that immediately touch a chord with all of us who are proud of our country.
Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, this edge-of-the-seat thriller, which also stars Nimrat Kaur, is based on a true story of the biggest ever human evacuation in the world that holds a Guinness World Record. On August 2, 1990 when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait, 1,70,000 Indians were rendered homeless and bankrupt. There was however, one hero, Ranjit Katyal (Akshay), who risked his own life and that of his family to help evacuate his fellow Indians.
Talking about the response to the trailer, Akshay says, "It's great to see Indians loving films like 'Baby' and 'Gabbar Is Back,' which make us proud of ourselves. In the trailer, when the Indian tricolor goes up, it's not just the audience who gets goose bumps. Even I had the same reaction when I heard the script. It's a heroic and patriotic story, based on true events, which could not have come at a better time than this Republic Day weekend."
Producer Bhushan Kumar is just as excited. He states, "'Airlift' is a story of an unsung hero in a historic event for Indians and we, at T-Series, are extremely proud to produce this film. Akshay was outstanding even in our earlier production, 'Baby.' But in 'Airlift,' he has outdone himself. We would encourage every Indian to watch this film.''

What Is Li-Fi ?
Li-Fi technology is a ground-breaking light-based communication technology, which makes use of light waves instead of radio technology to deliver data. Coined by Prof. Harald Haas,Li-Fi is a subset of optical wireless communications and can be a complement to RF communication, or a replacement in contexts of data broadcasting.It is wireless and uses visible light communication or infra-red and near ultraviolet (instead of radio frequency waves) spectrum, part of optical wireless communications technology, which carries much more information, and has been proposed as a solution to the RF-bandwidth limitations. A complete solution includes an industry led standardization process.
The Technology
The world might eventually have to shift its reliance on Wi-Fi to Li-Fi, an alternative technology that scientists say can reach speeds of 1 Gbps in real-world use — 100 times faster than average Wi-Fi speeds. At those speeds, you could download a high-definition movie in just a few seconds.
Li-Fi transmits data using LED lights, which flicker on and off within nanoseconds, imperceptible to the human eye. It was invented in 2011, and in the lab, has been able to reach a mindblowing 224 Gbps.
Besides Velmenni, several companies have already sprung up to bring Li-Fi to customers, like Oledcomm and pureLiFi, the latter established by Li-Fi's inventor himself, Harald Haas.
Both companies offer kits to early adopters to install Li-Fi networks in the office and home, and pureLiFi claims speeds of 10 Mbps with his current offering.
Benefits Of Li-Fi
- Higher speeds than Wi-Fi.
- 10000 times the frequency spectrum of radio.
- More secure because data cannot be intercepted without a clear line of sight.
- Prevents piggybacking.
- Eliminates neighboring network interference.
- Unimpeded by radio interference.
- Does not create interference in sensitive electronics, making it better for use in environments like hospitals and aircraft.
- By using LiFi in all the lights in and around a building, the technology could enable greater area of coverage than a single WiFi router.
Difference Between Wi-Fi and Li-Fi.
Wi-Fi can strike or penetrate through the wall while Li-Fi is built on light and it cannot penetrate through, therefore its more limited and this has made it more secure from outer smell, people always need faster internet connection, it makes communication easy and efficient. Li-Fi can serve as a multi purpose such as providing LED lightbulbs for home use aswell as creating network connection on devices for communication.But the technology also has its drawbacks - most notably the fact that it cannot be deployed outdoors in direct sunlight, because that would interfere with its signal. (However, this does not work for visible light burning through the outer walls from the sun and direct light.)India’s legendary opening batsman hangs his boots from international cricket and IPL.
After 16 years of a thoroughly entertaining and mesmerising career, Virender Sehwag has decided to retire from international cricket and from the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sehwag began his India journey in 1999 with an ODI against Pakistan in Mohali, as a middle-order batsman. On his Test debut three years later, on a quick Bloemfontein wicket, he scored a dazzling 105 against the likes of Pollock, Kallis and Ntini.
The watershed moment of his career, however, came in July 2002, in the Lord’s Test, when he was asked to open the batting. He responded with a sparkling 96-ball 84. Thus began Sehwag’s journey of revolutionising the role of opening batsmen in Test cricket.
In his unique style, with a simple approach to batting and incredible hitting skills, Sehwag went on to pile 8586 runs in 104 Test matches at an impressive average of 49.34 and an unheard of strike-rate of 82.23.
The most fascinating aspect of Sehwag’s batting throughout his career was his ability to score massive hundreds without compromising on his stroke-making instincts. His six double centuries – including two triple tons – are the most by an Indian in Test cricket. This is a testament to the fact that what appeared as carefree willow-wielding, was actually the combination of genius and confidence. There was a method to his madness. Behind the flamboyant ball-bashing was a keen cricketing mind at work. This shrewdness came to the fore when he had the ball in his hand.
The hallmark of Sehwag’s genius is how he not only overcame his weaknesses but converted them into his strengths. His minimal footwork could have made him highly susceptible to the dangers of the moving ball. But instead, he used his outstanding hand-eye coordination and balance at the crease to create space for big shots. He saw scoring opportunities where others thought survival. This meant that he could walk in to bat in the most difficult of conditions and make batting look ridiculously easy, like he did during his 195 in Melbourne, 309 in Multan and 201* in Galle, to name a few.
While Sehwag’s exploits in Test cricket will always overshadow his achievements in the shorter formats, his ODI career had its own magical moments. The greatest of them all was his double century against West Indies in Indore, in 2011. He demolished the bowling and the morale of the opposition with an onslaught worth 219 runs. He became the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to score a double hundred in an ODI and also overtook his idol to register the highest individual score in the format. In 251 ODIs, Sehwag scored 8273 runs at 35.05.
Sehwag’s numbers alone put him in the legion of legends. But the man’s worth in the cricket world goes much beyond mere numbers. It will be more appropriate to determine his value based on the impact he brought in a game. He evoked fear in the minds of the bowlers, off which his batting partners fed. The starts he gave with the bat instilled belief in the rest of the batting line-up.
The cricket world will remember Virender Sehwag for the joy he brought to those who watched him bat. He entertained us well.

Akshay Kumar Birthday Special : 6 Reasons Why Akshay Kumar Stands Apart From The Crowd
By Unknown - 10:11 PM
Ask what is the one thing that makes Khiladi actor Akshay Kumar stand out of his league and we will say there are many. The self-driven man is a powerhouse when it comes to talent and energy.
We have seen him setting pulses racing with his action scenes, we have seen his comic timing and we have seen him cutting a sorry figure too and amazingly, he is equally good in all of them.
This is what makes him a gem among the lot. He is one ‘Kumar’ in Bollywood, who stands tall in the industry ruled prominently by ‘Khans’ and ‘Kapoors’.
Here, while we wish him loads of happiness and good luck on his birthday, we would like to share why he deserves a special place in Bollywood.
1. Akshay is a fitness freak
At the age of 48, you would not know many men who are both fit and kicking. He is one of them! A knower of many martial arts like taekwondo, Goju-ryu karate, aikido and Shaolin Kung-fu, Akshay Kumar aka Rajeev Bhatia has simply no competition when it comes to action.
2. Akshay is a thorough professional
He is widely applauded for his professionalism by his peers. Be it directors, producers, colleagues or fans, they always get to see him at his best. When on the sets, he prefers being professional and behaving sensibly rather than throwing starry tantrums.
3. Akshay makes a great husband
It’s been 15 years since they fell in love but we still see that spark in the marriage of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. Though linked with so many actresses before his marriage, once he was taken, he has become a total family man.
4. A doting father too!
We know how protective Akshay is of his kids! He says he wants to give them a normal childhood and hence keeps them away from all the limelight. If this is not all, then the below picture should suffice, where he manages to take time out from his busy schedule just to play with the kids.
5. Energetic and electric
After more than 150 movies, 500 live shows and counting, Akshay Kumar is still going strong. Whether it’s comedy or action, we love him every way, especially for the energy and zeal that he adds to his scenes.
6. True to the nation as well!
It may not be known that Akshay Kumar was the industry’s highest advance taxpayer for six consecutive years. Once, he even paid Rs 19 crore as advance tax payment.
With Singh is Bliing coming up, we wish our Khiladi actor all the luck in life and a wonderful year ahead.
